Mark Whitford is a Managing Director and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He has been active in the insurance industry since 1995. Mark specializes in capital raising for insurance companies and developing investment solutions tailored to their needs. He has published work on investment strategies for institutional investors. Mark’s areas of focus include asset-liability management, asset allocation analysis, customized benchmark creation, efficient frontier analysis, economic and risk-based capital analysis, and the strategic use of hedging and alternative investment strategies.

Mark has successfully developed diversified approaches, utilized various investment vehicles, and contributed to enhancing balance sheet management, elevating operating income, reducing portfolio risk profiles, improving quality of earnings, and driving new business initiatives for insurance companies by tailoring strategies to specific client objectives. Prior to joining Prospect, Mark was Managing Director of Investor Relations & Investment Solutions at Willow Tree Credit Partners. He also served as Head of GA Insurance Business Development & Relationship Management at Franklin Templeton, and earlier as Director of Business Development & Insurance at Conning Asset Management.

Mark received his BS from the University of Connecticut.
